Special Weather Statement issued May 25 at 10:46PM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE At 1045 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 5 miles south of Columbus to 6 miles north of North Bend. Movement was east at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. * Locations impacted include... Columbus, Schuyler, Bellwood, Richland, Rogers, Fishers Elementary, and Camp Pawnee. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Flood Advisory issued May 25 at 10:55PM CDT until May 26 at 2:00AM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Nebraska, including the following county, Platte. * WHEN...Until 200 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1055 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Columbus, Duncan, College View Trailer Park, Camp Pawnee, Central Community College, Lake Babcock and Lake North. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
