Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued May 25 at 9:46PM CDT until May 26 at 5:00AM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 312 IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CDT SUNDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN IOWA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 2 COUNTIES IN SOUTHWEST IOWA FREMONT PAGE IN NEBRASKA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 11 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA CASS GAGE JEFFERSON JOHNSON LANCASTER NEMAHA OTOE PAWNEE RICHARDSON SALINE SEWARD THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AUBURN, BEATRICE, CLARINDA, CRETE, FAIRBURY, FALLS CITY, FARRAGUT, HAMBURG, LINCOLN, MILFORD, NEBRASKA CITY, PAWNEE CITY, PLATTSMOUTH, SEWARD, SHENANDOAH, SIDNEY, STERLING, TABLE ROCK, TABOR, TECUMSEH, AND WILBER.

Flood Advisory issued May 25 at 10:10PM CDT until May 26 at 2:15AM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Nebraska, including the following counties, Gage and Pawnee. * WHEN...Until 215 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1010 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wymore, Blue Springs, Odell, Barneston and Liberty. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
