severe thunderstorm warning in effect At 12:05 a.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing heavy rain. This line of severe thunderstorms is located from 20 kilometres northwest of W.J.B. Greenwood Provincial Park to 8 kilometres northwest of Widdifield Forest Provincial Park to Fox Lake, moving northeast at 35 km/h. Hazard: Rainfall amounts of 50 mm. Locations impacted include: New Liskeard, North Bay, Huntsville, Témiscaming, Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Provincial Park, Obabika River Provincial Park, Keewaydin, Temagami River Provincial Park, Marten River Provincial Park, W.J.B. Greenwood Provincial Park, Finlayson Point Provincial Park, Temagami, Restoule, Kenny Forest Provincial Park, Temiskaming Shores, South Bay Provincial Park, Nipissing, Mikisew Provincial Park, Burk's Falls and South River. ### Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
